A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for a Calgary based contractor who won a bid for a project in Yorkton, Sask.
In December of 2016, Yorkton RCMP’s General Investigation Section (GIS) began a fraud investigation into construction on a retail store in the city.
GNRL Construction won the bid to do the renovations as several local companies were subcontracted to complete the work.
Throughout the investigation, it was found that GNRL fraudulently failed to pay the subcontractors for the work done.
A country-wide warrant has been issued to the owner of GNRL Construction for the arrest of Christos Eutathios Fotopoulos of Calgary, as Yorkton GIS try to locate him.
Fotopoulos faces multiple charges including fraud over $5,000 and breach of trust under the Criminal Code.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Fotopoulos is asked to contact Yorkton GIS at 306-786-4520 or by submitting a tip to Crime Stoppers.
