The UV index will be very high again Sunday
While most of Ottawa was spared from the rain on a beautiful day Saturday, residents might not be so lucky on Sunday.
Environment Canada says there is a risk of a severe thunderstorm in the afternoon as cloud cover increases into the day. Showers and a few thundershowers could begin around noon, according to the weather agency.
The high will be 28 C, with the humidex making it feel like 36. The UV index will be 8 or very high and wind gusts will pick up to around 40 km/h.
Sunday evening the temperature will cool down to 18 C with showers tapering off into the night. Up to 15 millimetres of rain is expected Sunday evening.
