Environment Canada has issued a weather warning for Toronto, and you’re going to want to stay extra safe on the roads. Any commutes today should be approached with even more caution than usual, as snow is expected to mix with freezing drizzle today, making for dangerous driving conditions. Fog patches can also be seen across the city.

The advisory reads: “Light snow developed as expected this morning. As of 9 AM, the snow had changed to freezing drizzle in many areas from western Toronto to the Kitchener area, with freezing drizzle or some light freezing rain expected to reach Toronto shortly. This may produce icy conditions on untreated roads.

“Temperatures are expected to rise above zero around the noon hour in most places with a few rain showers expected this afternoon. This will bring an end to the threat for local icy conditions. Fog patches reducing visibility are also possible in some areas.” The current temperature is 0°C with a high of 3°C expected later this afternoon. Drive safe, Toronto.
